Role of the Family

Role of the Family

We believe that the role of the family in supporting those who attend school, the school community itself and the wider world is vital. Please see the attached for how we intend to support and develop our relationship with families. We will also appoint a Family Support and Community Involvement leader who will drive this work.

School Transport

School Transport

For pupils who are able to travel independently the Council may be able to assist you with travel costs in the form of a Zero Fare Bus Pass. For further information on this please go to the following website: www.doncaster.gov.uk/services/schools/transport-to-and-from-school.

For families who may need additional assistance with travel, you would need to apply for this. Please request an application form at transport@doncaster.gov.uk and upon completion of this our Travel Assistance Assessment Officer would contact you to discuss the various options available to you. This includes the option of parents/carers transporting their children themselves and receiving reimbursement of their costs.
