Well, we cannot believe there is only one more week of this half term, it has flown by! Pupils have continued to work really hard across school and the work they are producing is brilliant.
It was wonderful to welcome so many families into school for our Macmillan coffee event and we wanted to say a huge thank you for contributing to the staggering £561.27 raised for such a worthy cause. Pupils were fantastic at supporting the running of the event too, which was great to see.
Hello Yellow Day
On Monday 10th October, we will be celebrating 'Hello Yellow Day'. During the day, each class will be completing activities with a focus on understanding the feelings of others and working collaboratively to build on friendships and relationships. We will be working to show young people they are not alone with their mental health.
Pupils are very welcome to wear yellow or use the event as a non-uniform day! Any donations or voluntary contributions would be greatly received and will be for such an amazing charity and a well deserving cause. All monies raised will be donated to Young Minds charity.
We have received some information around parental settings and age restrictions for Roblox and know that many of our pupils access this application. Please see information below along with a link to an article containing more information.
“Roblox is an incredibly popular games across all ages, but particularly children. Until now Roblox has been rated 10+ by ESRB and 7+ by PEGI. This has changed to 'Teen' by ESRB and 'PEGI ! Parental Guidance Recommended' by PEGI. Additionally, Roblox is introducing more parental controls to filter different experiences dependent on the age of the user. This is an interesting and welcome development due to the incredible amount of user-generated content within Roblox.”
